Helping People
Find Their Way Home

OPCS offers a limited amount of level 2 medical respite housing.  This is temporary semi-private housing for persons who are homeless with a medical care need that is chronic but not acute.  Persons may receive in-home services through their health provider, but should be independently mobile (if in a wheelchair, can transfer self to and from bed, bathroom, etc.), not known to be a fall-risk at time of admission, and able to feed and bathe self.  Level 2 respite is not intended for persons who have a contagious air-borne respiratory illness, fecal incontinence, or required sex offender registration. Persons are referred to medical respite through their health provider, usually at the point of homeless discharge from a medical facility.
