Bear came to OPCS in April 2022 as the Employment Services Manager and successfully oversaw the expansion of the Homeless Work Program. Recently promoted to Programs Director, he now supervises the Employment Services Department, Youth Services Department, and low-barrier shelter and veterans programs.

Before coming to OPCS, Bear worked in the healthcare social service field for 25 years, most recently as Health Program Manager with the State of Arizona’s Long Term Care Program, with oversight of Casa Grande operations. Bear holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is a certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist. He played football at Western New Mexico University and in both the Arena and Indoor Football Leagues. Bear is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending as much time as possible in nature–fishing and enjoying the scenery.
